The day we met
Fate brought us together as we sat directly across from one another at LocalEdge in Buffalo, NY. It was no coincidence we both had matching hockey Zambonis for our favorite hockey teams.

Crossing borders
For the first time that Mark left the country, the two lovebirds traveled north to Toronto, ON, to visit the Hockey Hall of Fame. Naturally, they were sporting their respective colors.

Those three words
Mark pulled out all of the stops for this one: he surprised Beth by taking her out to dinner at an upscale Italian restaurant and gave her flowers from a local florist – complete with her favorite flower (a white rose). Beth was verklempt, and had a hunch that this guy’s a keeper. 🙂

The proposal
Beth opened the last Christmas gift around 11 p.m., as Mark gave the nod to his family to be ready as she opened what appeared to be a hockey Zamboni. Nestled inside was the ring Mark so carefully packed for the longest road trip of his life. Of course she said “yes.” 🙂
