Steve Valuckas | Groomsman

How do you know the groom? Describe how you first met.

Oswego 2006, it was a dark windy day, with windows covered with peanut butter sandwiches. I saw a man rooting for a NY hockey team that was not Buffalo. I felt sorry for this poor soul as he did not understand he was torturing himself. I felt compelled to help this young man and show him the light. The rest is history, even if he has still chosen the dark side. Shame, Shame, Shame

Favorite piece of relationship advice:

The bowl of light, it is believed that every person and every couple carries a bowl of light. We start off with an empty bowl allowing light to pass through, representing our hopes, dreams, and happiness. But as life goes on we fill this bowl with stones restricting the light from passing through. These stones are hardships, struggles, materialistic things, work, money, relationship problems, etc. However, at any time we stop carrying these stones and remove the stones from our bowl of light. Allowing love and light to once again to pass through our bowl. The advice is life is wonderful but also filled with hardships. Do not let these hardships cloud your love, and when they become too much remove the distractions, the materialistic items, and allow the love that brought you together to shine as bright as ever.
